Living with refugees in Berlin - my thoughts

Been seeing these refugee stats everywhere lately. Syria, Afghanistan, all these countries... you know what's crazy? Living in Berlin, these aren't just numbers on a graph. I see it every day walking to Rewe in Kreuzberg - the lines of people near the refugee shelters, all these different languages mixing in the air. Look, I'll be honest (might get some hate for this). As a local, yeah, sometimes it's tough. Rent's going through the roof, and some nights the streets get pretty rowdy. But here's the thing - every time I see the news going on about the "refugee problem," I have to roll my eyes. Like, seriously? These people I see every day, they're just trying to get by, same as me. Sure, the stats show "increasing refugee numbers" or whatever, but we're talking about actual people here. And let's be real - isn't this just... Berlin? This city's always been a beautiful mess of different people. Sometimes I wonder - if all the refugees left tomorrow, would Berlin suddenly become this perfect "local" city again? Doubt it. Idk, maybe I'm rambling. What do you guys think?

Kreuzberg's wild fr 💯 Got this Syrian neighbor who's actually chill af, helped me with my groceries when my dumb ass bought too much at Lidl lmao. Media be wilding with all that fear mongering bs but real talk - they're just people trying to live their lives. Touch grass and meet actual refugees instead of just reading stats 🤷‍♂️
